THE SCHEDULETHE MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL (MANCUNIAN WAY) SPECIAL ROAD SCHEME 1968 VARIATION SCHEME 2005

The Council of the City of Manchester (“the Council”) makes this Scheme in exercise of its power under Section 16 and 326 of the Highways Act 1980 and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf:

The Manchester City Council (Mancunian Way) Special Road Scheme 1968 is hereby varied by adding Class IX of the Classes of Traffic set out in Schedule 4 to the Highways Act 1980 as a class of traffic permitted to use those lengths of the special roads described in the Schedule to this Scheme and which are shown on the deposited plan edged by a solid black line and given the reference letters A and B.

In this scheme:

  • “The Council” means the Council of the City of Manchester

  • “The deposited plan” means the plan numbered A3/30748/01—marked “The Manchester City Council (Mancunian Way) Special Road Scheme 1968 Variation Scheme 2005” sealed with the corporate seal of the Council and deposited at the offices of the Council at the Town Hall Manchester M60 2LA. A Certified copy is also deposited at the Department for Transport.

This Scheme may be cited as the Manchester City Council (Mancunian Way) Special Road Scheme 1968 Variation Scheme 2005.

THE SCHEDULE TO THE SCHEME

That length of the Mancunian Way westbound access slip road from its junction with Medlock Street roundabout westwards for a distance of 70 metres.

That length of the Mancunian Way eastbound exit slip road from a point 22.5 metres west of its junction with Medlock Street roundabout westwards for a distance of 65 metres.
