The Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Authority (Increase in Number of Members) Order 2006

The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 29(2) and 103(1) of the Local Government Act 19851.

In accordance with section 29(3) of that Act he has had regard to the number of local government electors in the areas of those constituent councils which appoint members of the Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Authority.

In accordance with section 29(4) of that Act he has consulted with those constituent councils.
