The Representation of the People (Northern Ireland)(Amendment) Regulations 2007

In accordance with section 7(2)(e) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 20001, the Electoral Commission has been consulted prior to making these Regulations.

A draft of these Regulations was laid before Parliament in accordance with section 201(2) of the Representation of the People Act 19832 and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.

Accordingly, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 53(1)(b)(i) and (3) of, and paragraphs 1(4), (4A), (4B) and (6) to (8) and 13(1ZA)of Schedule 2 to, that Act3 makes the following Regulations:
