Amendment of section 50 of the Employment Rights Act 1996

2.  In section 50 of the Employment Rights Act 1996 (right to time off for public duties), in subsection (9)(1), for paragraph (d) (Scottish school boards) substitute—

“(d)a parent council within the meaning of section 5(2) of the Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Act 2006(2),”.

Section 50(9) was amended by Schedule 31 to the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 (c. 31), Schedule 3 to the Standards in Scotland’s Schools etc. (Scotland) Act 2000 (asp 6), S.I. 2000/2463 and S.I. 2000/2463.
