REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE
Article 2 of this Order brings section 58 of the Electoral Administration Act 2006 (c.22) into force on 30th June 2007. That section amends section 69(2) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 (c. 41) so as to require the Electoral Commission to record in the register of donations whether a donation was made in the form of sponsorship. Article 3 of this Order provides that the amendment does not apply to donations reported to the Commission before 1st April 2007.
Commencement of section 58 of the Act2
Section 58 of the Act shall come into force on 30th June 2007.
