3.—(1) This Order applies to the whole of the Borough of Worthing except—
(a)the length of the A27 Arundel Road from the western borough boundary to the western kerb line of its junction with Holyacres, not including any on and off slip roads; and
(b)the length of the A27 Sompting Bypass from the eastern borough boundary to the eastern kerb line of its junction with Upper Brighton Road (C612), not including the on and off slip roads.
(2) For the purposes of this article “kerb line” means, in relation to a junction between a road and the A27, an imaginary straight line stretching from one of the kerbs of that road immediately prior to its widening for the junction to the opposite side of the A27.
