The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 53(1) of the Police and Justice Act 2006(1).

1.  This Order may be cited as the Police and Justice Act 2006 (Commencement No.1, Transitional and Saving Provisions)(Amendment) Order 2007 and comes into force on 15th January 2007.

2.  In sub-paragraph (k) of article 2 of the Police and Justice Act 2006 (Commencement No.1, Transitional and Saving Provisions) Order 2006(2) for “3, 4 and 61” substitute “3, 4, 9, 10, 61 and 62”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order, which comes into force on 15th January 2007, amends the Police and Justice Act 2006 (Commencement No.1, Transitional and Saving Provisions) Order 2006 to provide for the commencement on 15th January 2007 of the additional consequential amendments set out in paragraphs 9, 10 and 62 of Schedule 14 to the Police and Justice Act 2006.
