Her Majesty, in pursuance of paragraph (c) of Schedule 2 to the Charities Act 19931, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1.
This Order may be cited as the Exempt Charities (No. 3) Order 2007 and shall come into force on 11th October 2007.
2.
The University of Cumbria is hereby declared to be an exempt charity for the purposes of the Charities Act 1993 as from 11th October 2007.

This Order declares the University of Cumbria to be an exempt charity within the meaning of the Charities Act 1993 with effect from 11th October 2007. An exempt charity is not required to be registered with the Charity Commission and the Commission cannot exercise any powers under the Act in relation to an exempt charity except at the charity’s request.
