This Order amends the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) Order 2000 (“the 2000 Order”) by substituting the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order for the Schedule to the 2000 Order (which was last substituted by the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) (Amendment) Order 2006 (“the 2006 Order”)). Any person named by or under an instrument listed in the new Schedule or falling within a description in such an instrument will be excluded from the United Kingdom (subject to the exceptions specified in article 3 of the 2000 Order).
The effect of substituting the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order for the Schedule to the 2000 Order is to add to, and delete from, the list of designated instruments, and to make some minor technical amendments to the list.
The additions to Part 1 of the Schedule are UN Resolution 1735 (2006) of 22nd December 2006 (Al Qa’ida and the Taliban), UN Resolution 1782 (2007) of 29th October 2007 (Cộte d’Ivoire), UN Resolution 1737 (2006) of 23rd December 2006 (Iran), UN Resolution 1747 (2007) of 24th March 2007 (Iran) and UN Resolution 1731 (2006) of 20th December 2006 (Liberia).
The additions to Part 2 of the Schedule are Common Position 2007/173/CFSP of 19th March 2007 (Belarus), Common Position 2007/248/CFSP of 23rd April 2007 (Burma), Common Position 2006/795/CFSP of 20th November 2006 (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea), Common Position 2007/86/CFSP of 7th February 2007 (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), Common Position 2007/150/CFSP of 5th March 2007 (International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia), Council Decision 2007/521/CFSP of 23rd July 2007 (International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia), Common Position 2007/140/CFSP of 27th February 2007 (Iran), Common Position 2007/246/CFSP of 23rd April 2007 (Iran), Common Position 2007/93/CFSP of 12th February 2007 (Liberia), Common Position 2007/121/CFSP of 19th February 2007 (Moldovan Republic), Council Decision 2007/235/CFSP of 16th April 2007 (Zimbabwe) and Common Position 2007/120/CFSP of 19th February 2007 (Zimbabwe).
The deletions from Part 1 of the Schedule are UN Resolution 1617 (2005) of 29th July 2005 (Al Qa’ida and the Taliban), UN Resolution 1643 (2005) of 15th December 2005 (Cộte d’Ivoire) and UN Resolution 1647 (2005) of 20th December 2005 (Liberia).
The deletions from Part 2 of the Schedule are Common Position 2006/30/CFSP of 23rd January 2006 (Cộte d’Ivoire), Common Position 2006/50/CFSP of 30th January 2006 (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), Common Position 2006/204/CFSP of 10th March 2006 (International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia), Council Decision 2005/83/CFSP of 31st January 2005 (International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia), Common Position 2006/31/CFSP of 23rd January 2006 (Liberia), Common Position 2006/95/CFSP of 14th February 2006 (Moldovan Republic), Common Position 2005/592/CFSP of 29th July 2005 (Zimbabwe) and Common Position 2006/51/CFSP of 30th January 2006 (Zimbabwe).
Article 3 of this Order revokes the 2006 Order.
