The Secretary of State makes the following Rules in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 36(2), (2A) and (2B) of the Representation of the People Act 1983(1).

In accordance with section 7(1) and (2)(d) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000(2) he has consulted the Electoral Commission.
