The Secretary of State is a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972(1) in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Community(2) and in relation to measures in the veterinary and phytosanitary fields for the protection of public health(3).
The Treasury consent to these Regulations in accordance with section 56(1) of the Finance Act 1973(4).
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations under section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 and section 56(1) of the Finance Act 1973.
