1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Aviation (Isle of Man) Order 2007 and shall come into force on 1st April 2007.
2. The following provisions of the Civil Aviation Act 1982 as originally enacted—
(a)section 60 (power to give effect to Chicago Convention etc.);
(b)section 61 (Air Navigation Orders etc.: supplemental), except subsections (3) to (5); and
(c)section 110(1) (citation);
shall extend to the Isle of Man subject to the modifications specified in the Schedule to this Order.
3. Section 47 (carriage of goods by air) of the Aviation and Maritime Security Act 1990 shall extend to the Isle of Man.

Article 2
1. For “United Kingdom” (in each place) substitute “Isle of Man”.
2.—(1) In section 60(1), omit “Subject to section 11(7) above,” and “or otherwise by this Act or any other enactment”.
(2) In section 60(3)—
(a)in paragraph (c) omit “for the licensing, inspection and regulation of aerodromes”, and “and for prohibiting or regulating the use of unlicensed aerodromes”;
(b)in paragraph (d) omit the words in brackets;
(c)omit paragraphs (e), (g), (i), (j), (k), (l), (m), (o), (p), (r), and (s).
(3) In section 60(4), omit the words from “and with respect to different parts” onwards.
(4) Omit section 60(5).
(5) After section 60(6) insert—
“(7) In this section “the Chicago Convention” means the convention on International Civil Aviation which was, on 7th December 1944, signed on behalf of the Government of the United Kingdom at the International Civil Aviation Conference held at Chicago.”.
3.—(1) In section 61(1)—
(a)in paragraph (a) omit “subject to subsection (2) below,”;
(b)omit paragraph (b).
(2) In section 61(2)—
(a)for “indictment” (in each place) substitute “information”;
(b)for “imprisonment” (in each place) substitute “custody”.
(3) Omit section 61(6) and (7).
(4) For section 61(8) substitute—
“(8) All sums received by way of fees paid under an Air Navigation Order shall be paid into the general revenue of the Isle of Man.”.
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order extends to the Isle of Man certain provisions of the Civil Aviation Act 1982 under which an Air Navigation Order may be made, together with a provision of the Aviation and Maritime Security Act 1990 amending that Act.
