The Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (County of Nottinghamshire) Designation Order 2008

Coming into force

This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 8(1) of Schedule 8 and paragraph 3(1) of Schedule 10 to the Traffic Management Act 20041.

Nottinghamshire County Council has applied to the Secretary of State for an order to be made under these powers with respect to part of its area.

The Secretary of State has consulted the chief officer of the Nottinghamshire Police in accordance with the requirements of paragraphs 8(3) of Schedule 8 and 3(4) of Schedule 10.

Accordingly, the Secretary of State for Transport2 makes this Order:

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (County of Nottinghamshire) Designation Order 2008 and shall come into force on 12th May 2008.

Designation of civil enforcement area and special enforcement area2

The Secretary of State designates the area described in the Schedule to this Order as—

a

a civil enforcement area for parking contraventions; and

b

a special enforcement area.

This Order applies to the County of Nottinghamshire except—

a

the entire length of the M1 motorway including slip roads where it passes through the County of Nottinghamshire;

b

A52 for its entire length through the county (with the exception of the length within the Nottingham City Council jurisdiction);

c

A453 from the county boundary to the Nottingham City Council boundary;

d

A46 for its entire length through the county; and

e

A1 including A1(M) for its entire length through the county.

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order designates the areas shown in the Schedule to the Order as a civil enforcement area and a special enforcement area for the purposes of Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

No Impact Assessment has been prepared for this instrument as it has no significant effect on the cost to business and the voluntary sector.
