The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 45(1) and 67 of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995(1).
In accordance with section 45(4) of that Act she has consulted such representative organisations as she thinks fit.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service Vehicles Accessibility (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on 13th July 2008.
2.—(1) The Public Service Vehicles Accessibility Regulations 2000(2) shall be amended as follows.
(2) In the regulations specified in column (1) of the Table below, for each amount specified in column (2) substitute the amount specified in column (3).

These Regulations amend the Public Service Vehicles Accessibility Regulations 2000 (“the 2000 Regulations”). The 2000 Regulations apply to single-deck and double-deck buses, and to single-deck and double-deck coaches, where such vehicles are used to provide local and scheduled services and have a capacity of more than twenty-two passengers.
The fees for accessibility certificates, approval as type vehicles, conformity certificates and duplicate certificates are specified in regulations 7, 12, 17 and 18 of the 2000 Regulations. Regulation 2 amends the prescribed fees, which are set out in the Table below. The percentage increases since the fees were last fixed are shown in brackets.
