16.  Any enforcement authority (other than the Secretary of State) which takes action (whether under these Regulations or otherwise) to prohibit or restrict the placing on the market or putting into service of any machinery or partly completed machinery which bears the CE marking must immediately inform the Secretary of State of the action taken, and the reasons for it, with a view to that information being passed by the Secretary of State to the Commission.U.K.
