EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Education (Designated Institutions) Order 1989 by removing the Royal College of Nursing, Institute of Advanced Nursing Education (London) from the scope of that Order. The effect of removal is that the Institute is no longer a designated institution for the purposes of section 129 of the Education Reform Act 1988. It is no longer eligible to receive funds administered by a higher education funding council.

An Impact Assessment has not been produced for this Order as it has no wider impact on the costs of business, charities or voluntary bodies. The impact on the public sector is minimal.
