46.—(1) This regulation applies where the registration officer receives an application for registration which includes a statement given in accordance with regulation 27(1)(c).
(2) Where the address given in the statement received by the Northern Ireland registration officer is in an area for which another registration officer (“the former registration officer”) acts, the Northern Ireland registration officer shall as soon as practicable notify the former registration officer that the applicant [F1has notified the Northern Ireland registration officer that the applicant] no longer resides in his area.
