84.—[F2(1)] The returning officer shall, immediately on receipt [F3by post] of a covering envelope before the close of the poll, place it unopened in a postal voters’ ballot box.
[F4(2) This regulation does not apply to the receipt of a covering envelope for a tendered postal ballot paper.]
