Citation, commencement and interpretation
1.—(1) These Rules may be cited as the General Optical Council (Therapeutics and Contact Lens Specialties) Rules 2008 and shall come into force when an order of the Privy Council, under section 34(1) of the Opticians Act 1989, approving these Rules comes into force.
(2) In these Rules “the CET Rules” means the General Optical Council (Continuing Education and Training) Rules 2005(1).
