Citation, commencement and interpretation1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Petroleum Licensing (Production) (Seaward Areas) Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on 6th April 2008.

In these Regulations—
“production licence” means a licence to search and bore for, and get, petroleum in strata in the sea bed and in the subsoil in a seaward area;
F1“seaward area” has the meaning given by regulation 3(1)(a) of the Petroleum (Production) (Seaward Areas) Regulations 1988
