These Regulations may be cited as the Petroleum Licensing (Production) (Seaward Areas) Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on 6th April 2008.

In these Regulations—

• “production licence” means a licence to search and bore for, and get, petroleum in strata in the sea bed and in the subsoil in a seaward area;

• F1“seaward area” has the meaning given by regulation 3(1)(a) of the Petroleum (Production) (Seaward Areas) Regulations 1988
