These Regulations amend the Appointments Commission Regulations 2006.

The Appointments Commission (“the Commission”) was established by the Health Act 2006. The membership of the Commission consists of the chairman, the chief executive and the number of non-executive members and executive members prescribed by regulations.

These Regulations reduce the prescribed number of non-executive members of the Commission from five to four, and the prescribed number of executive members of the Commission from four to three.

A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
