2.—(1) The Education (Information About Individual Pupils) (England) Regulations 2006(1) are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 2 (interpretation)—
(a)at the end of the definition of “unauthorised absence”, omit “and”; and
(b)after the definition of “unauthorised absence”, insert—
““unique learner number”, in relation to a registered pupil at a school, means the specific combination of numbers allocated to the pupil by the Learning and Skills Council for England as that pupil’s unique learner number; and”.
(3) In Part 1 of Schedule 1 (all pupils on the school register)—
(a)at the end of sub-paragraph 2(j) omit “and”;
(b)at the end of sub-paragraph 2(k) insert “and”; and
(c)after sub-paragraph 2(k), insert—
“(l) unique learner number, where known.”.
