The Social Security (Miscellaneous Amendments) (No. 7) Regulations 2008

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Miscellaneous Amendments) (No. 7) Regulations 2008 and, subject to paragraph (2), come into force on 5th January 2009.

(2) Regulations 2(7)(c), 2(7)(e)(ii), 3(10)(b), 3(10)(d), 3(10)(l), 3(11)(a), 4(3)(a), 4(5)(c), 4(5)(g), 4(6)(b) and (f) and 11(3)(a) in so far as they relate to a particular beneficiary, shall come into force on the first day of the first benefit week to commence for that beneficiary on or after 5th January 2009.

(3) In this regulation “benefit week” has the same meaning as in—

(a) regulation 2(1) of the Income Support (General) Regulations 1987(1), so far as it relates to regulations 2(7)(c) and 2(7)(e)(ii);

(b) regulation 1(3) of the Jobseeker’s Allowance Regulations 1996(2), so far as it relates to regulations 3(10)(b), 3(10)(d), 3(10)(l) and 3(11)(a);

(c) regulation 2(1) of the Employment and Support Allowance Regulations 2008(3), so far as it relates to regulation 11(3)(a);

(d) regulation 1(2) of the State Pension Credit Regulations 2002(4), so far as it relates to regulations 4(3)(a), 4(5)(c), 4(5)(g) and 4(6)(b) and (f).
