The Social Security (Housing Costs Special Arrangements) (Amendment and Modification) Regulations 2008

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(2) and (3)

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 123(1)(a), 135(1), 137(1) and 175(1) and (3) and (4) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 M1, sections 4(5), 35(1) and 36(2) and (4) of the Jobseekers Act 1995 M2, sections 2(3)(b), 17(1) and 19(1) of the State Pension Credit Act 2002 M3, and sections 4(2)(a) and (3), 24(1) and 25(2), (3) and (5) of the Welfare Reform Act 2007 M4.

It appears to the Secretary of State that by reason of the urgency of the matter, it is inexpedient to refer proposals in respect of these Regulations to the Social Security Advisory Committee M5.
