This Order brings into force the following provisions in the Welfare Reform Act 2007 (“the Act”)—
(a)section 32 of the Act (housing benefit and council tax benefit for persons taking up employment);
(b)section 33 of the Act (section 32: supplemental);
(c)section 34 of the Act (sections 32 and 33: interpretation);
(d)section 38 of the Act (duty to send inspection reports to the Secretary of State);
(e)section 39 of the Act (directions by Secretary of State);
(f)section 46 (local authority powers to investigate benefit fraud);
(g)section 47 (local authority powers to prosecute benefit fraud); and
(h)paragraphs 5 to 7 and 9 of Schedule 5 (minor and consequential amendments relating to Part 2) in so far as it relates to the amendment of sections 139E, 139F, 139G and 140B(5A) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992 and section 40 of the Act in so far as it relates those consequential amendments.
