1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Supply of Information (Register of Deaths) (England and Wales) Order 2008 and shall come into force on 25th March 2008.
(2) In this Order “insurer” means a person who has permission under Part IV of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000(1) to effect or carry out contracts of insurance.
(3) The definition of insurer in paragraph (2) must be read with —
(a)section 22 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000;
(b)any relevant order under that section; and
(c)Schedule 2 to the Act.
