22.  In paragraph 23A of Schedule 3 to the Companies Act 2006 (Commencement No. 3, Consequential Amendments, Transitional Provisions and Savings) Order 2007(1) (saving for provisions of a company’s articles giving the chairman a second or casting vote in the event of an equality of votes on an ordinary resolution), at the end insert—

(4) Nothing in this paragraph applies in relation to a traded company (as defined by section 360C of the Companies Act 2006)..
