In these Regulations—

  • “capability procedures” means the procedures described in regulation 31 below;

  • “grievance procedures” means the procedures described in regulation 32 below;

  • “working day” means any day which is not a rest day or part of a rest period or which is not taken as part of annual or special leave or any such leave as is referred to in regulation 23(1) below and cognate expressions shall be construed accordingly;

  • “the Measure” means the Ecclesiastical Offices (Terms of Service) Measure 20091.

These Regulations apply to all office holders holding office subject to Common Tenure, whenever appointed to their office, and the following provisions of these Regulations (except regulation 33(3) below) shall apply to an office holder who becomes subject to Common Tenure whilst holding his or her office as if he or she had taken up that office on the day on which he or she became subject to Common Tenure.
