Appointed day for provision relating to direct payments
3. 9th November 2009 is the day appointed for the coming into force of subsections (1) to (7) of section 146 of the Act (direct payments in lieu of provision of care services) in relation to England, in so far as they are not already in force(1).

Section 170(1)(b) of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 commenced section 146 of that Act on Royal Assent for the purpose of making regulations.
