The Airport Byelaws (Designation) Order 2009

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 63(1) of the Airports Act 19861, makes the following Order:

Citation and Commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Airport Byelaws (Designation) Order 2009 and shall come into force on 1st November 2009.

Designation2

Newquay Airport is designated for the purposes of section 63 of the Airports Act 1986.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

Section 63(1) of the Airports Act 1986 provides that where an airport is either designated for the purposes of that section, or is managed by the Secretary of State, the airport operator (whether the Secretary of State or some other person) may make byelaws for regulating the use and operation of the airport and the conduct of all persons while within the airport. This Order designates Newquay Airport for the purposes of section 63.
