IDENTITY CARDS

This Order brings into force section 2(1) and (2), and section 5(1)(b), of the Identity Cards Act2006 (“the 2006 Act”) on 30th November 2009 in relation to any person to whom paragraph(2), (3), (4), (5) or (6) of article 2 applies, except to the extent that those provisions are already in force in respect of such persons by virtue of commencement orders made before the date of this Order. These provisions relate to entries being made in the National Identity Register for persons who are entitled to be registered in that Register and who apply for an entry to be made, and how such an application may be made.
