Transitory modification relating to section 156 of the Act

14.  Until the coming into force of section 1 of the Companies Act 2006(1), section 156(2) of the Act has effect as if for the definition of “company” there were substituted the following definition―

““company” means a company as defined by section 735 of the Companies Act 1985(2);”.
