The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 7, 11, 13 and 240(10) of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007(1).
The incidental, consequential, transitional and supplementary provision made by this Order relates to the following orders made under section 7 of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007(2):
the Bedfordshire (Structural Changes) Order 2008(3);
the Cheshire (Structural Changes) Order 2008(4);
the Cornwall (Structural Change) Order 2008(5);
the County Durham (Structural Change) Order 2008(6);
the Northumberland (Structural Change) Order 2008(7);
the Shropshire (Structural Change) Order 2008(8);
the Wiltshire (Structural Change) Order 2008(9).
In accordance with section 240(6) of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007, a draft of this Order was laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
2007 c.28. Section 13(2) provides for section 13(1) to be read with section 15.
Section 13(3) provides that any incidental, consequential, transitional or supplementary provision included in an order under section 7 may relate either to other provisions of the order or to a previous order under section 7.
