Coming into force

The Secretary of State is a Minister designated M1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 M2 in relation to measures relating to consumer credit.

The Secretary of State makes regulations 4(2), 4(4), 5(2), 7, 10(4)(a) and (b), 10(5), 10(7), 10(9) and 12(2)(c) in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 and all other provisions in these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 55(1), 182(2) and 189(1) of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 M3.
