2.—(1) The Parliamentary Elections (Welsh Forms) Order 2007(1) is amended as follows.
(2) In article 4 (Welsh versions of forms of words)–
(a)for paragraph (1), substitute–
“(1) In the Form of Front of Ballot Paper in the Appendix of Forms to Schedule 1 to the 1983 Act (parliamentary elections rules)–
(a)“PLEIDLEISIWCH DROS UN YMGEISYDD YN UNIG” is prescribed as the form of words in Welsh for the words “VOTE FOR ONE CANDIDATE ONLY”; and
(b)“(Cyfeiriad yn Etholaeth…)” is prescribed as the form of words in Welsh for the words “(address in the…Constituency)”(2).”;
(b)in paragraph (2) after the words “by paragraph (1) above shall”, insert “, where they are required to be included in the ballot paper, ”;
(c)in paragraph (3), for “Annibynnwr” substitute “Annibynnol”.
(3) In Schedule 1 (Welsh version of prescribed forms and a form of words), in Form 3 (form of nomination paper), in the first table following the words “yn y cyfryw etholiad”, omit the final column (Cyfeiriad Cartref yn llawn).
The words “(address in the Birmingham Northfield Constituency)” in the Form of Front of Ballot Paper in the Appendix of Forms to Schedule 1 to the Representation of the People Act 1983 (c.2) were substituted by paragraph 8(6)(b) of Schedule 6 to the Political Parties and Elections Act 2009 (c.12). The words “Birmingham Northfield” are omitted from article 2(2)(b) in light of the application of the Order for the purposes only of parliamentary elections in Wales.
