This Order brings into force three provisions in the Welfare Reform Act 2007, namely—
section 29 insofar as it relates to paragraphs 7 and 8 of Schedule 4 to that Act,
paragraph 7 of Schedule 4 (which allows regulations to make provision for converting awards of incapacity benefit, severe disablement allowance and income support on disability grounds (“existing awards”) into awards of an employment and support allowance, or terminating such existing awards), and
paragraph 8 of Schedule 4 (which allows regulations to make provision in relation to aspects of awards of an employment and support allowance following their conversion from existing awards, such as their review or termination).
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on the private or voluntary sectors.
