Section 69(3) of the Medicines Act 1968168 (general provision for Part 4 of the Act) is to continue to have effect with the insertion of the definition of “relevant European State” (originally made by paragraph 2(4)(b) of Schedule 1 to the 2007 Order).

The following provisions of the Medicines Act 1968—

a

section 72(3) (representative of a pharmacist in case of death or disability);

b

the heading for section 80 (power for relevant disciplinary committee to disqualify and direct removal from the register);

c

section 80(2), (3) and (4);

d

section 82(1) and (5) (procedure relating to disqualification);

e

section 83(1) and (2) (revocation of disqualification),

are to continue to have effect with the insertion of references to “relevant disciplinary committee”, “the relevant disciplinary committee” and “the committee” (originally made by paragraph 2(9), (12), (14) and (15) of Schedule 1 to the 2007 Order by way of substitution for references to “Statutory Committee”, “the Statutory Committee” and “the Committee”).
