The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers contained in sections 2(2A), 35(1) and 36(2) and (4) of the Jobseekers Act 19951 and sections 24(1) and 25(2), (3) and (5) of, and paragraph 1(3) and (4) of Schedule 1 to, the Welfare Reform Act 20072.

This instrument contains only regulations made by virtue of, or consequential upon, sections 12 and 13 of the Welfare Reform Act 20093 and is made before the end of the period of 6 months beginning with the coming into force of these sections4.
