The Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2010

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by—

• sections 123(1)(d) and (e), 130A, 135(1), 136(5)(b), 137(1) and (2)(h) and 175(1), (3) and (4) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 19921,
• sections 5(1)(a), (b), (j) and (p), 6(1)(a), (b) and (k), 111A(1A) to (1E), 112(1A) to (1D), 134(8)(a), 139(6)(a), 189(1), (4) and (6) and 191(1) of the Social Security Administration Act 19922,
• section 79(4), (6) and (7) of the Social Security Act 19983, and
• paragraphs 4(6), 6(7), 20(1) and 23(1) of Schedule 7 to the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act 20004.

In accordance with section 173(1)(b) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992, the Secretary of State has obtained the agreement of the Social Security Advisory Committee that proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it.
