The Coroners and Justice Act 2009 (Commencement No.2) Order 2010

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 12^th January 2010 section 139 of the 2009 Act and associated transitional provisions. That section amends Schedules 1 and 2 to the Criminal Justice (Northern Ireland) Order 2008 to insert various terrorism offences into the list of offences treated as serious offences for the purposes of certain sentencing provisions in that Order. This will apply only in relation to offences committed on or after 12^th January 2010.
