9. In paragraph 30(1) of Schedule 1 to the Water Consolidation (Consequential Provisions) Act 1991 (offences under the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975)(1)—
(a)in paragraph (a), for “a consent under Chapter II of Part III of the Water Resources Act 1991 or” substitute “an environmental permit under regulation 13 of the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 or a consent”; and
(b)in paragraph (b), after “such a” insert “permit or”.

Explanatory Memorandum

They aim to make the Statutory Instrument accessible to readers who are not legally qualified and accompany any Statutory Instrument or Draft Statutory Instrument laid before Parliament from June 2004 onwards.
