83.—(1) Amend section 22 of the Gender Recognition Act 2004(1) (prohibition on disclosure of information) as follows.U.K.

(2) After subsection (6) insert—

(6A) The power conferred by subsection (5) is exercisable by the Department of Justice in Northern Ireland (rather than the Secretary of State) where the provision to be made could be made by an Act of the Northern Ireland Assembly without the consent of the Secretary of State (see sections 6 to 8 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998(2)).
