This Order confirms byelaws made by the Verderers of the New Forest in exercise of their powers under section 25 of the New Forest Act 1877. These byelaws revoke the previous byelaws and substantially re-enact them. The main changes are that the maximum fee for marking a bovine animal, sheep or horse entitled to be in the New Forest is increased from £25 to £35 and the fee for marking pigs entitled to be in the New Forest is increased from £2 to £5.
