The maximum amount of maintenance grant available to a 2009 cohort student in respect of an academic year is F2£3,299.

A 2009 cohort student F5... who qualifies for a maintenance grant in respect of an academic year receives, subject to sub-paragraph (c), an amount as follows in respect of that year—

(a)

where the household income is £25,000 or less, the student receives F6£3,299;

(b)

where the household income exceeds £25,000 but does not exceed F7£50,706, the student receives an amount equal toM(A+B)math where—

M is F8£3,299

A is £1 for every complete F8£4.70 by which the household income exceeds £25,000 but does not exceed F7£34,264

B is £1 for every complete F8£12.86 by which the household income exceeds F7£34,264 but does not exceed F7£50,706; and

(c)

where the household income exceeds F9£50,706, no maintenance grant is payable.
