(5) F5A 2009 cohort student ... who qualifies for a maintenance grant in respect of an academic year receives, subject to sub-paragraph (c), an amount as follows in respect of that year—
(a)where the household income is £25,000 or less, the student receives [F6£3,878];
(b)where the household income exceeds £25,000 but does not exceed [F7£50,717], the student receives an amount equal to
M is [F7£3,878]
A is £1 for every complete [F7£4.01] by which the household income exceeds £25,000 but does not exceed [F7£34,292]
B is £1 for every complete [F7£10.87] by which the household income exceeds [F7£34,292] but does not exceed [F7£50,717]; and
(c)where the household income exceeds [F8£50,717], no maintenance grant is payable.
