The maximum amount of special support grant available to a 2009 cohort student in respect of an academic year is F2£3,489.

F5A 2009 cohort student ... who qualifies for a special support grant in respect of an academic year receives, subject to sub-paragraph (c), an amount as follows in respect of that year—

(a)

where the household income is £25,000 or less, the student receives F6£3,489;

(b)

where the household income exceeds £25,000 but does not exceed F7£50,711, the student receives an amount equal toM(A+B)math where—

M is F7£3,489

A is £1 for every complete F7£4.45 by which the household income exceeds £25,000 but does not exceed F7£34,274

B is £1 for every complete F7£12.13 by which the household income exceeds F7£34,274 but does not exceed F7£50,711; and

(c)

where the household income exceeds F8£50,711, no special support grant is payable.
