Students with reduced entitlement E+W

80.—(1) Subject to Chapter 4 of this Part, the maximum amount of loan for living costs for which a student with reduced entitlement qualifies in respect of an academic year of a course other than the final year of a course that is not an intensive course is—

(a) where the student does not qualify for a grant for living and other costs in relation to the academic year because of regulation 38(4)(a)—

(i) for a student in category A, £1,744;

(ii) for a student in category B, £3,263;

(iii) for a student in category C or D, £2,324.

(b) where the student does not qualify for a grant for living and other costs in relation to the academic year because of [F1 regulation 38(6)]—

(i) for a student in category A, [F2 £1,863];

(ii) for a student in category B, [F3 £3,487];

(iii) for a student in category C, [F4 £2,970];

(iv) for a student in category D, [F5 £2,483].

(c) where the student, other than a 2009 [F6 , 2012 or 2016] cohort student, applies for a loan for living costs and opts not to provide the information needed to calculate the household income [F7 , the amount is]—

(i) for a student in category A, [F8 £2,943];

(ii) for a student in category B, [F9 £5,325];

(iii) for a student in category C, [F10 £4,530];

(iv) for a student in category D, [F11 £3,803].

(d) where a 2009 cohort student applies for a loan for living costs and opts not to provide the information needed to calculate the household income [F13 , the amount is]—

(i) for a student in category A, [F14 £2,953];

(ii) for a student in category B, [F15 £5,330];

(iii) for a student in category C, [F16 £4,535];

(iv) for a student in category D, [F17 £3,810].

(e) where a 2012 student applies for a loan for living costs and opts not to provide the information needed to calculate the household income, the amount is—

(i) for a student in category A, [F19 £3,038];

(ii) for a student in category B, [F20 £5,331];

(iii) for a student in category C, [F21 £4,539];

(iv) for a student in category D, [F22 £3,820].

[F23 (f) where a 2016 cohort student applies for a loan for living costs and opts not to provide the information needed to calculate the household income, the amount is—

(i) for a student in category A, £3,039;

(ii) for a student in category B, £5,330;

(iii) for a student in category C, £4,540;

(iv) for a student in category D, £3,821;]

(2) Subject to Chapter 4 of this Part, the maximum amount of loan for living costs for which a student with reduced entitlement qualifies in respect of an academic year that is the final year of a course that is not an intensive course is—

(a) where the student does not qualify for a grant for living and other costs in relation to the academic year because of regulation 38(4)(a)—

(i) for a student in category A, £1,324;

(ii) for a student in category B, £2,498;

(iii) for a student in category C or D, £1,811;

(b) where the student does not qualify for a grant for living and other costs in relation to the academic year because of [F24 regulation 38(6)]—

(i) for a student in category A, [F25 £1,414];

(ii) for a student in category B, [F26 £2,669];

(iii) for a student in category C, [F27 £2,170];

(iv) for a student in category D, [F28 £1,936];

(c) where the student, other than a 2009 [F29 , 2012 or 2016] cohort student, applies for a loan for living costs and opts not to provide the information needed to calculate the household income [F30 , the amount is]—

(i) for a student in category A, [F31 £2,659];

(ii) for a student in category B, [F32 £4,848];

(iii) for a student in category C, [F33 £3,939];

(iv) for a student in category D, [F34 £3,519].
