20.—(1) The Gas Act 1986 is amended as follows.
(2) After section 6A(1) insert—
Schedule 2AA (which relates to the duties of distribution exemption holders) has effect.
Schedule 2AB (which relates to the duties of supply exemption holders) has effect.”.
(3) After Schedule 2A(2) insert the Schedules set out in Schedule 1.
21.—(1) The Electricity Act 1989 is amended as follows.
(2) After section 5(3) insert—
Schedule 2ZA (which relates to the duties of distribution exemption holders) has effect.
Schedule 2ZB (which relates to the duties of supply exemption holders) has effect.”.
(3) Before Schedule 2A(4) insert the Schedules set out in Schedule 2.
1986 c. 44; section 6A was inserted by the Gas (Exempt Supplies) Act 1993 (c. 1), section 2; and substituted by the Gas Act 1995 (c. 45), section 4. Other amendments have been made that are not relevant for these purposes.
Schedule 2A was inserted by section 3(2) of, and Schedule 1 to, the Gas Act 1995; and subsequently repealed by section 75 of the Utilities Act 2000 (c. 27) (the commencement date for section 75 is yet to be appointed in accordance with section 110(2) of the Utilities Act 2000).
Section 5 was substituted by the Utilities Act 2000 (c. 27), section 29. Other amendments have been made that are not relevant for these purposes.
Schedule 2A was inserted by the Energy Act 2008, s44(4) and Schedule 2.
