The Secretary of State for Health makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 25(1), 272(7) and 273(1) of, and paragraph 28 of Schedule 4 to, the National Health Service Act 2006(1).

The Secretary of State makes this Order on the application of the Scarborough and North East Yorkshire Health Care National Health Service Trust, following the consultation prescribed under paragraph 28(3) of Schedule 4(2) to the Act(3).

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Scarborough and North East Yorkshire Health Care National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 2012 and comes into force on 1st July 2012.

Dissolution of NHS trust

2.—(1) The Scarborough and North East Yorkshire Health Care National Health Service Trust is dissolved.

(2) The Scarborough and North East Yorkshire Health Care National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1991(4) is revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order provides for the dissolution on 1st July 2012 of the Scarborough and North East Yorkshire Health Care National Health Service Trust established on 1st November 1991 and revokes the Scarborough and North East Yorkshire Health Care National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1991 that established the trust.

No consultation is prescribed under section 25(3) of the National Health Service Act 2006 regarding an Order revoking an NHS trust order.
