Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(2)
The Treasury are a government department designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19721 in relation to:
a
payment services and measures relating to payment systems2; and
b
the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing3.
The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972, make the following Regulations:
